The new rock musical F#%king Up Everything will play its final performance at off-Broadway’s Elektra Theatre on June 13. The hipster musical directed and choreographed by Jen Wineman and starring Max Crumm and Jason Gotay will have played 6 previews and 45 regular performances at the time of closing.
In addition to Crumm and Gotay, F#%king Up Everything stars George Salazar, Katherine Cozumel, Dawn Cantwell, Lisa Birnbaum and Douglas Widick.
The musical, with music and lyrics by David Eric Davis and a book by Davis and Sam Forman, takes place in Brooklyn’s indie music scene and turns the classic boy-meets-girl love story on its head. When hipsters aren’t true to who they are, they screw up everything. Especially love. And no one screws up more than children’s puppeteer Christian Mohammed Schwartzelberg (Crumm) when he meets singer-songwriter Juliana (Cozumel), the girl of his dreams.
F#%king Up Everything features set design by Deb O, costume design by Melissa Trn, lights by Joel E. Silver and orchestrations and music supervision by Matt Hinkley.
